An exciting opportunity is available to join a support worker team in Saxmundham, caring
for an outgoing and fun 19 year old young man. The ideal candidate will have experience in caring for young people or adults with disabilities. The role is best suited to someone who is energetic, has a good sense of humour, and has a professional and responsible work ethic.

Role description;
  • Working as part of a team to deliver high quality care.
  • Carrying out safe manual handling procedures to assist client transfers/mobility.
  • Support Client in communication methods and promoting client's independence.
  • Assistance with daily physiotherapy.
  • Meal preparation and safe assistance with feeding.
  • Administration of medication.
  • Support client to engage in social activities, education and on holidays.
  • Supporting client in hydrotherapy.
  • Assistance with personal care and hygiene.
  • Assisting in the management of client's budget.
  • Maintaining infection control standards.
  • Supporting client with medical checkups and therapy appointments.
Skills required:
  • Experience working with young people/ adults with additional health and physical needs.
  • Reliable, punctual, professional and friendly.
  • Excellent communication skills, a caring approach, with good initiative and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively individually and as part of a team
  • Must be fluent in English - both written and verbal.
  • Clean driving license (not essential)
  • Satisfactory DBS check and eligibility to work in the UK
  • Experience in the safe use of Manual handling equipment.
