About the Role:
GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to join our team in Scarborough. This full-time position is available for an immediate start or a September 2024 start. The role involves supervising classes during the short-term absence of teachers, ensuring that students remain focused and engaged with their work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise classes and support students in their learning during the absence of their regular teacher.
- Ensure a safe and productive learning environment for all students.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively to foster a positive learning environment.
- Deliver pre-set work to students and provide assistance where necessary.
- Follow and uphold the school’s policies and procedures, including those related to safeguarding and child protection.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance and behaviour.
The Successful Candidate Will:
- Have experience working within an educational setting, preferably in a supervisory role.
- Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrate the ability to manage classroom behaviour and engage students in learning activities.
- Be adaptable, flexible, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Hold an enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
