Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Metal Workers to join our clients team based in Grimsby. As a Metal Worker, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components. You should have a strong mechanical knowledge and be proficient in using hand tools and various tooling equipment. Basic maths skills are also required for accurate measurements and calculations. This is a full-time permanent position with competitive pay. This position is onsite and off-site. All benefits are paid when working offsite, fully expensed, travel time, hotels and meals are paid by our client. Overtime is readily available.
Responsibilities:
-Fabricate metal components according to specifications
- Weld metal parts together using various welding techniques
- Cut and shape sheet metal using shears or other cutting tools
- Use hand tools and tooling equipment to assemble metal parts
- Grind and smooth metal surfaces to ensure proper fit and finish
- Perform quality checks to ensure products meet standards and specifications
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area
-Travel as and when required to offsite clients (Fully expensed with travel time)
Experience:
-2 years time served minimum
- Proven experience as a Metal Worker or similar role
-Previous experience of stainless steel platforms, conveyors and food processing equipment
- Strong knowledge of metal fabrication techniques and processes
- Proficient in welding and using hand tools
- Familiarity with sheet metal cutting and shaping methods
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations
