Menzies Distribution are looking for a Warehouse Operative to join our team, providing a first class service in Scunthorpe. The purpose of this role is to provide accurate and prompt picking, packing and dispatch of the depot warehouse, e-commerce goods.  The role requirements are to complete various warehouse tasks, as safely, accurately and as efficiently as possible upholding and the highest standards of health and safety at all times. Also includes other duties to help maintain the efficient and successful working of the warehouse

The Details:

  • Salary: £12.31 Per Hour
  • Shift Pattern: Tuesday to Saturday
  • Hours: Tuesday to Friday (07:30 – 16:00) - Saturday (06:00 – 14:00)
  • 28 Days Holiday including 8 Bank Holidays
  • Monthly Salary
  • Parking Onsite

Key Duties and Accountabilities (Will include but not be limited to)

  • Co-operate fully with the sites safety requirements.
  • Pick and receipt goods into the e-commerce area of the warehouse using the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and RF Equipment
  • Pick and pack customer orders to achieve agreed turn-round targets, dispatching orders with appropriate paperwork.
  • Put away of customer goods from the warehouse pick, into the e-commerce area.
  • Manual handling of products
  • Accepting responsibility for tasks that have been completed.
  • Housekeeping, both physical completion and hygiene checks.
  • Stock integrity and quality checks.
  • Keep warehouse and e-commerce area clean and tidy including shelf dusting, keeping gangways clear and litter removal.
  • Moving palletised goods through the warehouse using MHE

Key Experience and Qualifications:

  • Good communication & team working skills
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills
  • A professional manner
  • Experience operating within a warehouse environment
  • MHE – Articulated/Counterbalance/PPT licenses preferable as this will be necessary for the role
  • Good computer literacy (WMS Systems, Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel)
  • Recent experience with Warehouse Management Systems (1 year preferable)
  • Experience in packing consumer orders preferable (B2C)
  • Ability to perform regular repetitive light, medium and heavy lifting
