Legal Assistant

Location: Seaford

Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum (pro-rata) (Depending on experience)

Hours: Permanent, Part-time, 4 days (29 hours), with flexibility on days

The solicitors are an independent, award-winning law firm offering legal advice and help to both individuals and businesses across Sussex.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Legal Assistant to join their friendly Commercial team.

Responsibilities:

The Commercial Legal Assistant will provide direct support to the Practitioner, for example by:

  • Assisting clients both in person and by telephone, providing support in a professional and friendly manner
  • Making appointments, arranging meetings and diary management for the Practitioner
  • Providing support and guidance to other members of the team and wider team
  • Preparing correspondence and documents including audiotyping
  • File management
  • Preparing mail and enclosures for despatch
  • Arranging for all copying to be completed
  • Securing the confidentiality and security of the firm's client documentation and information
  • Committing time to training and self-development

Skills and Qualifications

  • Legal experience (Essential)
  • Property legal experience (Preferred)
