Transport Manager required! My client is a leading independent port operator, serving the sea trade and international shipping routes. They are now looking for a transport manager to join their team, playing a crucial role in managing the fleet and overseeing the drivers.

Transport Manager - Job Responsibilities

• Ensuring the fleet is well maintained and inspected on a daily basis.
• Manage all day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth running.
• Arranging routine maintenance and repairs.
• Managing a team of transport planners, and drivers.
• Monitor transport costs and KPIs to identify areas for improvement.
• Ensure all deliveries are made on-time and efficiently.
• Coordinate with suppliers, and internal teams to meet transportation needs.
• Liaising with customers, dealing with any issues that may arise.
• Ensure all compliance's regarding health and safety regulations are met.

Transport Manager -Requirements

• A proven background in road haulage or the port industry.
• IT skills are required.
• Team leadership skills - having the ability to manage and motivate a team.
• Proven experience in a management role within the transport industry.
• Strong customer service skills.

Company Remuneration

• Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm
• Salary - £40,000 - £45,000 dependent on experience.
• 25 days holiday
• Pension scheme
• Free on-site parking
