Salary: £22,000-£24,000

We are excited to offer the opportunity for an enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to become part of the exceptional nursery team at a primary school in Sevenoaks. Nursery Assistant Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate educational activities that promote each child’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
• Ensure adherence to all school policies and health and safety regulations.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a harmonious and effective team environment.
• Utilise knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) to enhance children's learning experiences.
• Establish and maintain positive and productive relationships with families and caregivers.
• Regularly assess and record developmental milestones, adapting strategies as needed to support individual learning outcomes.
• Participate actively in staff meetings and ongoing professional development opportunities.

Nursery Assistant Requirements:

• Eligibility to work in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS check or willingness to undergo one.
• A minimum of 2 years recent experience working as a Nursery Assistant within a nursery or school setting with the under 5’s.
• Strong understanding of the EYFS and safeguarding practices.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with young children and their families.
• A proactive approach and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
