Client:

Castlefield Recruitment are currently working with a Public Sector organisation in Kent, to recruit a Procurement Officer on a permanent basis.

The organisation operates a hybrid working policy; with the requirement to be in office 2 days per week.

As a Procurement Officer, the individual will support on a range of commercial projects and activities, contributing to the effective delivery of the organisation’s procurement strategy whilst upholding ethical standards and promoting transparency.

Role:

  • Assist on procurement processes, contributing to all aspects of the tender cycle
  • Support the Procurement Manager in a wider range of commercial projects and activities
  • Ensure that all procurement and contract management activity is undertaken in accordance with agreed corporate procurement processes
  • Conduct research to identify suppliers and staying abreast of supplier market trends, pricing and framework availability
  • Utilising frameworks
  • Liaise with senior stakeholders on a regular basis

Individual:

  • Great communication skills, track record of efficient stakeholder management
  • Knowledge of UK Procurement legislation
  • Solution focused, a ‘can do’ attitude
