We are seeking a dedicated Programme Tutor to join our team and contribute to the Sector Routeways Early Career programme. This initiative is designed to guide young people aged 16 to 24 from NEET backgrounds into meaningful and sustained paid employment. As a Programme Tutor, you will play a crucial role in supporting these individuals as they take their next steps into the workforce.

Day to Day of the Role:

  • Support the design and delivery of the programme, which is conducted in cohorts of up to 10 for a duration of 3 weeks.
  • Provide bespoke, person-centred support to young people to prepare them for employment.
  • Engage with employers to enhance and reinforce programme content, including organising workplace visits.
  • Develop participants’ employability skills and ensure they meet employer expectations.
  • Liaise with the Sector Routeways team, including IAG and Business Development Officers, to monitor participants’ progress.
  • Support the achievement of project targets through effective planning, employer engagement, recording, and assessing progress.
  • Deliver the programme from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with additional hours allocated for planning and other related duties.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in programme design and delivery, particularly in an educational or vocational training setting.
  • Strong understanding of the challenges faced by young people from NEET backgrounds.
  • Proven ability to provide person-centred support and guidance.
  • Excellent communication and employer engagement skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team of IAG and Business Development Officers.
  • Commitment to supporting young people in achieving their employment goals.
