CNC Turner
Are you a CNC Turner that has worked in high precision manufacturing and looking for a new challenge?
A fantastic opportunity has become available for a CNC Turner to join a prestige aerospace business based in Sheffield.
The role is to work two shifts (mornings 6am-2pm and afternoons 2pm-10pm) with the possibility of a night shift.
Salary £32,266

Key Responsibilities:
- Operation CNC tools to produce various types of Gas Turbine components
- Other processes within the cell
- You are required to work to Standard Operations Procedures (SOP’s) and follow a set standard work routine to achieve the required output
- Use the correct tools and equipment for the operation or work, including relevant safety equipment and protective clothing provided.
- Assume responsibility for prescribed TPM to ensure ongoing equipment performance
- Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area.
- Responsible for inspection of completed operations using equipment such as CMM and manual gauge tooling.
Experience:
- CNC Turning Experience - Essential
- Manual Turning - Essential
- Able to use measuring equipment – Verniers, Gauges, and Micrometers – Essential
- Reading and following written instruction e.g., SOPs, Technique sheets, drawings, and specifications - Essential
- Experience in the Aerospace or similar industry – Preferable
- Qualification in CNC operation, apprenticeship trained or significant industry experience.
- Environmental awareness, Manual handling, Abrasive wheel training, calibration control, LOTO (Lock out / Tag Out) Risk Assessments, SOP Development, RCA, Basic CI (Continuous Improvement) principles, Auto Main Introduction
