SF Recruitment have partnered with a brilliant business based in Sheffield who are looking for a full time, permanent Credit Controller. You will join a small and friendly team, and an attractive all round pacakge. The PositionYou will report directly into the Credit Manager; the Credit Controller is a key member of the credit team, primarily responsible for managing an aged debt portfolio for multiple branches. Although these will be the main responsibilities, you will become part of a flexible team meaning you will have opportunities to get involved in all areas of credit control. Duties of the Credit Controller will involve:

  • Managing a sizeable aged debt ledger including customers ranging from sole traders to national contractors.
  • Chasing customers for payment via various communication methods, primarily phone and email.
  • Taking, allocating and reconciling payments working with our Finance Department.
  • Support ad hoc Credit Office projects.
  • Maintain and develop excellent relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

The IndividualThis is an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Credit Controller seeking to apply their skills in a vibrant, fast-paced Credit Office. To meet this challenge you should be able to demonstrate the following:

  • At least two years' experience in a Credit Department, ideally as a Credit Controller.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
  • Excellent attention to detail when dealing with payments and allocating cash.
  • Proactive self-starter who is motivated to get the job done.
  • Good time management skills, able to prioritise workload and deliver under pressure of deadlines.
