Job Title: Maintenance Electrician
Location: Sheffield
Shifts: Days
Salary: £19 per hour
Working with one our long-standing clients in Sheffield, who manufacture products for a range of different industries including nuclear, energy and oil & gas. Working on heavy industrial machinery, they are looking to recruit a permanent electrical maintenance engineer to join their team.
Job Role:
- To carry out planned preventative maintenance on a range of machinery including overhead cranes, shotblasting machines, welding equipment and more.
- Immediately respond to breakdowns, carrying out fault diagnosis in a safe and timely manner.
- Fault find on a range of electrical equipment including 3 phase systems.
- Ensure safety practices and policies are adhered to, particularly working within heavy engineering or steelworks.
- Have a good knowledge of health & safety and work with the maintenance manager for continuous improvement activities.
Job Requirements:
- Apprentice trained in a relevant electrical discipline and have experience within an electrical maintenance role.
- Experience within heavy engineering would be beneficial.
- Be proficient in PLC's (advantageous) and operating workshop machinery.
- Control panel building would also be an advantage.
