Personal Assistant
- Job Type: 30 hours a week
- Interim: initially 6 weeks

We are seeking a proactive and confidential Personal Assistant to provide exceptional support to a diverse group of senior managers. This role may involve being a named Personal Assistant to an individual manager and supervising officers in Business Support as required.
Day to Day of the Role:
- Provide a proactive, efficient, and effective personal assistant support service to the organisation.
- Supervise and allocate work to officers in Business Support as appropriate.
- Delegate work to ensure management support is delivered to the required standard.
- Support managers in adopting the behaviours required by the organisation, such as self-service and self-sufficiency.
- Offer support to internal and external customers of Sheffield City Council.
- Contribute to continuous improvement in the PA and Business Support function and support the council’s drive to achieve excellence.
- Assist in the development and implementation of strategies and plans to improve Business Support management standards.
- Support the delivery of the Council’s vision, aims, and objectives and ensure effective and efficient management of resources.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in supporting financial transactions, including monitoring and reconciling financial transactions.
- Extensive word processing and IT experience, including business administration.
- Demonstrable customer focus to meet the needs of internal and external customers.
- Ability to contribute to continuous improvement, including the support of development and implementation of changes to improve service standards.
- Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to deploy resources and delegate effectively to meet service objectives.
- Ability to create, maintain, and enhance productive working relationships with a diverse range of individuals at all levels within and external to the organisation.
