Client Manager

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with around 2-3 years' experience, particularly from a small or medium-sized firm, looking to take more ownership of their client relationships and develop their presentation and leadership skills.

• Managing a portfolio of SME clients across various industries
• Preparing briefings and client summaries to present directly to the Partners
• Acting as a key point of contact for clients, ensuring timely and proactive communication
• Supporting the Partners with client strategy and relationship management
• Overseeing compliance work, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met
• Mentoring junior staff and supporting their development

This is a well-respected and long-established accountancy practice with a national presence and strong local roots. The Sheffield office is known for its approachable, down-to-earth culture and a supportive team dynamic. They work with a wide range of clients, from local entrepreneurs and SMEs to larger corporates, providing tailored solutions across audit, accounts, tax, and advisory services.

• Around 2-3 years’ experience in a UK accountancy firm (ideally a smaller practice)
• Strong client service skills and confidence working directly with business owners
• Excellent attention to detail with a proactive and positive attitude
• Competent in preparing accounts and identifying client needs
• Comfortable reporting to Partners and contributing to client growth strategy
• ACA or ACCA qualification (or nearing completion) is preferred
