Job Role: Slinging/Workshop OperativeLocation: SheffieldShift: Days, Monday to FridaySalary: Salary paying £11.44 per hourMetalis are working in partnership with a busy Manufacturing business in Sheffield, who due to growth, will be looking to hire a Slinger/Workshop Operative on a Full time and Permanent basis.

Job Duties:

• Internal machinery handling and movements
• Offloading and siting of machinery within our Showroom & Workshop Facility
• Loading of machinery ready for despatch
• Use of overhead crane
• Lifting and slinging - maintaining equipment
• Fork Lift truck driving (counterbalance for heavy lifting)
• Machine Cleaning
• Assisting with internal machine handling
• General workshop maintenance
• Goods Inwards
• General labouring duties
• Van driving when applicable
• Ensure that company H&S requirements, quality standards and procedures are adhered to

Person Specification:

• Previous overhead crane operator experience
• Previous experience of working within an heavy industry environment
• Previous experience of slinging
• Counter-balance fork lift truck driving experience
• Full UK driving licence

Salary & Shifts:

• Monday to Friday, regular days
• Permanent Role
• Salary £11.44ph
• 37.5 hours per week.
