SEN Engagement Officer (SEN Setting) Sheffield

Position: Engagement Officer (Special Educational Needs Setting) Location: Various locations Working Hours: Term Time Only, Monday - Friday Agency: Academics Ltd

About Us: Academics Ltd is a leading education recruitment agency, dedicated to connecting exceptional educators and support staff with schools across the UK. We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Engagement Officer to join our team, working in a SEN setting during term time only.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engagement strategies to enhance student participation and learning experiences.
  • Work closely with teachers, support staff, and parents to understand and address the individual needs of each student.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting positive behavior and emotional well-being.
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of tailored educational activities and interventions.
  • Monitor and report on student progress, providing feedback to relevant stakeholders.
  • Support the transition of students between different educational settings or year groups.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • A proactive and empathetic approach to supporting student engagement and learning.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or child development (desirable but not essential).
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • DBS on the update service or willing to get one.
