Sheffield Council are looking to appoint an experienced IT Category Manager with a background in the Public Sector, ideally within a Council setting. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of IT category procurement, including knowledge of Procurement Regulations and experience with direct awards from frameworks such as Crown Commercial and G-Cloud.
Day to Day of the Role:- Sourcing direct award options to maintain continuity with existing suppliers, primarily through call-offs from G-Cloud and Crown Commercial e-marketplace.
- Completing contract documentation and collaborating with clients to agree on requirements.
- Ensuring compliance with Procurement Regulations and frameworks.
- Managing both hardware and software procurement, with a focus on software.
- Proven experience in IT procurement within the Public Sector.
- In-depth knowledge of Procurement Regulations.
- Experience with Crown Commercial and G-Cloud frameworks for direct awards.
- Proficiency in managing both hardware and software procurement, with an emphasis on software.
- Flexibility of remote work with occasional in-office collaboration.
