Job Title: Family ParalegalSalary Range: £23,000 to £27,000Location: Sheffield City CentreContract: Full Time, PermanentRole Overview & Daily Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with a varied caseload of private family law matters including divorce, financial remedy, cohabitation disputes, pre-nuptial agreements, child arrangements, and domestic abuse cases.
  • Preparing and drafting legal documents such as divorce petitions, consent orders, witness statements, court bundles, and client correspondence.
  • Conducting legal research and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and case law.
  • Liaising with clients, courts, counsel, and other third parties on a daily basis to progress matters efficiently.
  • Managing case files, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and supporting solicitors with case preparation and deadlines.
  • Attending client meetings and court hearings with solicitors, taking notes, and following up on action points.
  • Supporting negotiations by gathering and organizing financial disclosure and other evidence required for settlement discussions.
  • Contributing to administrative and business development tasks, such as diary management, billing, and occasional support with marketing activities.
