Buyer

Inspire Resourcing are currently recruiting for a buyer on behalf of our client based in Sheffield.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a market leading business with room for development.

Duties & Responsibilities including but not limited to:

  • Be comfortable and confident in engaging with the supply chain to complete a successful RFQ bid to support the company.
  • Be responsible for supplier consolidation, researching and introducing new and improved suppliers to our supply chain to drive towards cost reductions and improving OTIF.
  • Manage the full spectrum of designated suppliers worldwide, including but not limited to: order book management, reviewing load and capacity, questionnaires, QCNs, audits and assessments.
  • Manage purchase requirements closely via the MRP and spot buys, new purchase orders, reschedule requirements, order cancellations and problem solving.
  • Be responsible for creating project and process KPIs, maintaining, updating and capable of reporting on their trends.
  • Provide support to the Subcon Buyer, capable of raising new orders, processing and expediting.
  • Support the Supply Chain Manager in owning, creating and delivering cost improvements and innovative supply chain solution.
  • Have a cost improvement ethos at the forefront of everyday decision-making processes.
  • Owning the Raw Material and Subcon Pass Through process, being confident in negotiating price agreements with suppliers.
  • Supporting the Supply Chain Manager in working with the suppliers to create, input and manage LTAs to benefit long
  • term procurement.
  • Be innovative in managing and reducing the companies excess stock.
  • Owning the export/import aspects of the supply chain and be the go-to expert on this for the company.

Experience, Knowledge, Educational and Work Achievements:

  • Previous Supply Chain experience.
  • Proficient in English both written and verbal.
