Your new roleThe school are looking for a Special Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant (TA) with experience of Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH). The job involves working with children across all Key Stages who are new to the school, and are needing support with their mental health and wellbeing. You will provide support both in and out of the classroom, as well as liaise with the Special Needs Coordinator, other staff, outside agencies and parents/carers. This is a full-time job, starting asap on an ongoing basis.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience working with children within the last 2 years - This can be in a school/residential/care setting
  • SEMH experience
  • Be immediately available for work
  • Enhanced DBS registered with the DBS Update Service, or the ability to obtain a new one if not
  • Strong organisational skills
