We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team, supporting an Upper KS2 class. The successful candidate will play a vital role in assisting with all aspects of the curriculum and running one-to-one interventions for children who are behind in core subjects such as Maths and English.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to the class teacher in delivering the KS2 curriculum.
  • Assist in the preparation and organisation of classroom activities and materials.
  • Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning objectives.
  • Run one-to-one interventions for children who need additional support in Maths and English.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to the class teacher.
  • Support the emotional and social development of students, promoting positive behaviour.
  • Help create a positive and engaging learning environment.
  • Participate in school activities and events as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience in a similar role within a primary school setting is essential.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the KS2 curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Passionate about supporting children's learning and development.
  • While a TA qualification is not required, it would be beneficial.
