Our client is an award-winning nursery group who provide childcare for children ranging from babies to preschoolers. An opportunity has become available for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual who is passionate about providing high-quality care and education to young children to join their team. As a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner, you will play a key role in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive.

As a Nursery Practitioner you will be a key worker to a group of our very special children and your role will vary from day to day according to the children's own imaginations and desire for learning. The nursery is also situated next to the woods so there are lots of opportunities for forest adventures and sensory experiences!

General Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities to promote children's physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Provide a safe and supportive environment for children, ensuring their well-being at all times.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, maintaining open communication and collaboration.
  • Observe and assess children's progress, documenting their achievements and identifying areas for further development.
  • Support children's personal care routines, including feeding, toileting, and nap times, with sensitivity and respect for their individual needs.
  • Contribute to maintaining a clean, tidy, and organized nursery environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Engage with parents/carers, providing regular updates on their child's progress and addressing any concerns or questions they may have.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education and Childcare (or equivalent).
  • Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting, demonstrating a strong understanding of child development and best practices in early years education.
