The Opportunity

We now have an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our Torr Quarry, near Shepton Mallet. You’ll be based at one of Europe's largest super quarries where supported by our experienced engineers you’ll become an essential member of the team.

As part of our day shift engineering team you’ll attend reactive breakdowns across our automated equipment and our own high voltage network as well as PPM’s and project work such as installations of new equipment.

Your shift will be 4on 4off rotating between 05:30-17:30 & 10:00-22:00. If your shift falls into the weekend then these are adjusted to 06:00-18:00 (with a 09:00 Saturday start should you be on the afternoon shift.)

As part of our Electrical team onsite you’ll have a real opportunity to develop your skills and qualifications as we continue our modernisation of the site through new equipment and updated PLC’s onsite.

With a focus on Health & Safety across our business this role is no different, you’ll carry out all repairs safely and continue to maintain a hazard free environment.

Who you are

You’ll be electrically certified with a minimum of a Level 3 Electrical qualification

You’ll have experience working within an industrial engineering environment

You’ll have some basic automation experience such as fault finding
