Design & Technology KS3 Teacher

Somerset Education Alliance are a multi-award winning agency in its 10th year of establishment and are looking for a Design and Technology KS3 Teacher to take on a part time exciting teaching opportunity within a school, in the Shepton Mallett area.

The Job Role

Somerset Education Alliance are looking for a DT teacher in KS3 based in or around the Shepton Mallett area who is driven and dedicated to educating and guiding the young minds of our future. You will be able to adapt to different environments, engage students with invigorating ideas and radiate positivity throughout the placement.

Design and Technology Teacher Responsibilities

- Delivering cover lessons

- Preparing planning if required

- Following safeguarding and school policies

- Marking work as needed

- Liaising with school staff

Design and Technology Teacher Essentials

- QTS or ECT status (applications from other teaching backgrounds also welcome)

- A current DBS, or Update Service subscription (the agency can apply for this)

- A 3 year minimum reference history

- Up to date knowledge of the curriculum

- Reliability

- Excellent communication skills
