Are you an experienced Production Planner, available immediately or coming toward the end of a contract and looking for a new role? I am recruiting for somebody for a minimum of 3 months with a view for extension. The role  will assist the Supply Chain function to deliver the most effective production plan for the business.

Working effectively with the sales and production departments to ensure demand is met.

Duties: 

  • Utilise systems to translate sales forecasts into achievable production plans, that optimally balance customer service and operational efficiency and support stock categorisation
  • Review and maintain the production plan
  • Raise contracts, work orders and BOMs
  • In conjunction with the materials planner, ensure material availability from 3 rd party warehouse facility
  • Review, maintain and manage the production plan on a daily basis
  • Assist NPD with all trials, ensuring relevant documentation is available and correct.
  • Ensure ongoing, accurate proactive communication with the supply chain, operations and sales teams.
  • Implement new procedures and improvements within the department
  • Data accuracy and document control is pivotal part of the role, you will provide accurate production plans and reports accordingly.

Experience:

  • Significant experience in a production planning role within a manufacturing business.
  • Manufacturing experience

37.5 hours per week -working hours would be 8.45am - 5.00pm with 45 minutes for lunch. Occasional on-call cover is required on bank holidays.

Salary: Uptp £33,000 DOE

Length of contract: 3 months with a view for extension.
