Position Overview: We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join their dynamic faculty. The successful candidate will have a genuine enthusiasm for teaching English literature and language to students aged 11-16. This is a temporary position to start at Easter, with the potential for a permanent role for the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging and effective English lessons that cater to a range of learning styles and abilities.
* Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel motivated to learn and participate.
* Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources to inspire a love of English literature and language.
* Assess and provide constructive feedback to students to support their academic progress and personal development.
* Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum plans and initiatives.
* Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative approach to education.
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* A degree in English literature, language, or a related field.
* Previous experience teaching English at the secondary level is desirable but not essential.
* Strong subject knowledge and a passion for English literature and language.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
