What does the role involve?
- Coordinate with suppliers to obtain quotes, negotiate pricing, and place purchase orders
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of stock
- Collaborate with internal teams to understand their purchasing needs and requirements
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and delivery schedules
- Track orders and resolve any issues or discrepancies that may arise
- Monitor supplier performance and address any concerns or quality issues
- Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or service
- Provide backup for customer orders when needed
Your Experience
- Proven experience as a Purchaser or in a similar procurement role
- Strong knowledge of logistics and supply chain processes
- Proficient in using procurement systems and tools
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to secure favourable terms and pricing
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate supplier capabilities and performance
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external suppliers
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
