Exciting new role at Hinkley Point C!

Working with a leading contractor at Hinkley Point C, I am recruiting for a Materials Coordinator to join their team with responsibility for Plant, Tools, Equipment and Consumables.

The Materials Coordinator will:
• Deliver accurate inventory management working alongside their logistics and construction teams.
• Ensure up to date and accurate recording of inventory levels, stock movements and locations,
• Coordination with suppliers regards timely delivery of materials,
• Analyse production schedules or project plans to determine material requirements and develop material planning strategies.
• Implement efficient storage methods and labelling systems to optimise warehouse or storage areas
• Collaborate with QA teams to ensure incoming materials meet specified quality standards.
• Document inventory, material transactions, supplier information, and generate reports as required.
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure smooth material requirements and deliveries.
• Communicate with suppliers regarding order status, delivery schedules, and any changes or issues.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and propose cost-saving initiatives.

To be considered for this role you must have previous experience in a materials coordination, inventory management, or very similar role, with knowledge of inventory management systems and software to generate reports and manage stock levels. You must also have an understanding of supply chain processes including procurement, purchasing and logistics while being able to coordinate with internal teams and suppliers. Ideally you will hold a qualification in business, procurement or construction.

The successful candidate will have excellent attention to detail and organisational skills, be an effective communicator, have strong analytical and problem solving skills and be able to work collaboratively by building strong relationships in a team environment. A basic understanding of UK H&S regulations related to plant, tools and equipment would be very useful.
