Our client, located in Sidcup, Kent, is seeking a committed, proactive Assistant Chef to join their team.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week on a shift pattern covering Monday - Sunday between the hours of 8am and 8pm.Â
Responsibilities will include:
- Ability to work on your own completing all duties within the kitchen including prep, cooking, service, cleaning and Health & Safety.Â
- A desire to improve and learn new skills.
- Assisting the Head Chef during service
- Food preparation, cooking and presentation to a high standard
- Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene levels in the kitchen.
- Working to maintain safety at all times, especially when using kitchen equipment.Â
- Any other duties as defined by the Head Chef
Qualifications & skills:Â
- Minimum of one year ‘fresh’ cooking experience.
- Passionate about food with a keen eye for presentation.Â
- Prepare and produce from scratch using fresh ingredients.
- Be able to multitask, prioritise and thrive in a busy environment.
- Ability to work well as part of a team displaying good communication skills.Â
- A self-starter who is happy to work independently within their role
- A team player
- DBS check will be required.
