Commercial Manager

On behalf of my client I am seeking a Commercial Manager to oversee a sales team and ensure the smooth running of their commercial operations. This role is integral to a manufacturing company, which supplies products across the UK and Europe. The successful candidate will be responsible for reporting to the senior leadership team, driving revenue growth, and implementing commercial plans. As a key member of the senior leadership board, the Commercial Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of the company.

Day to Day of the Role for the Commercial Manager:

  • Lead and manage the sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Develop and implement strategic commercial plans to drive revenue growth.
  • Report on commercial performance and provide insights to the senior leadership team.
  • Ensure the smooth running of the sales department by streamlining processes and systems.
  • Analyse market trends and customer feedback to identify opportunities for new business development.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a cohesive approach to achieving the company’s commercial objectives.
  • Sit on the board of the senior leadership team, contributing to the overall strategy and decision-making process.

Required Skills & Qualifications for the Commercial Manager:

  • Proven experience as a Commercial Manager or in a similar leadership role within the manufacturing industry.
  • Strong understanding of sales strategies and commercial planning.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to report and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable plans.
  • Experience in developing and managing budgets.
  • A strategic thinker with a track record of driving revenue growth.
