Industrial Safety Manager

VGC Group are delighted to be recruiting for an Industrial Safety Manager on behalf of our client based in Leiston, Suffolk.

This role is offered on a full time, permanent basis.

Role overview:

The successful candidate will work closely with the Industrial Safety Director and the Site Leadership Team to contribute to the development of plans and strategies to improve performance and manage risks related to the site.
Oversee implementations of health and safety procedures.
Conduct audits, site inspections and accident investigations.
Lead safety training initiatives across multiple sites.
Liaise with clients, colleagues and key stakeholders
Ensure compliance with CDM regulations and ISO standards.

Requirements:

*NEBOSH Diploma
*ISO9001 Internal Auditor Training
*ISO14001 Internal Auditor Training and/or Environmental foundation management certification (IEMA/NEBOSH Equivalent)
*Related work experience, including application of health and safety principles and practice in a waste/recycling, engineering, construction, industrial or logistics environment.
*Working knowledge of UK and EU safety and environmental regulations
*Working knowledge & management of ISO(phone number removed) standards
