Vision for Education are seeking passionate and dedicated English Teachers to join the dynamic team at our partnered Secondary school in Skelmersdale.

Role Overview:

As an English Teacher, you will play a crucial role in nurturing a love for literature and language among our students. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging lessons that cater to a diverse range of abilities, ensuring every student has the opportunity to achieve their full potential! Your innovative approach to teaching will inspire students to develop critical thinking skills as well as a deep appreciation for the English Language.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality English lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Implement strong behaviour management strategies to maintain a productive classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and resources.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through participation in extracurricular activities and events.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in English or a related field.
  • Experience teaching English at the secondary school level.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and a willingness to participate in training and development opportunities.
