Engineering Health and Safety Manager

Monday Friday

£60,000 - £65,000 + Profit Share Bonus.

Hybrid mainly site + home - Multi-site role covering mainly Berks/Herts/Bucks

This is an opportunity to share your commitment to H&S and engineering excellence and site safety. You will be a key member of the team of engineers and project managers working on varied and interesting engineering projects with key responsibility of Health and Safety . In addition to owning your own project work, you will develop to support others as an internal consultant on health, safety & CDM topics.

Required;

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Engineering qualification: HND or good relevant Apprenticeship or Degree.
  • Mechanical & Electrical qualifications preferred.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements in manufacturing environments.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • Keen interest in H&S and its vital role in a successful business.

Desirable;

  • NEBOSH General certification (Desirable), other safety qualification would be
  • considered.
  • Knowledge and experience implementing CDM 2015
  • Interest in infrastructure projects with a focus on CDM and H&S
  • Experience in working with 3rd party contractors ensuring compliance
  • Ability to assess mechanical & electrical competence in others
  • Experience of technical skills training
