We are seeking a Deputy Director of Learning - Art to join our outstanding team at a faith-based secondary school for girls. The school has an exceptional reputation for academic excellence and leadership development. We are looking for a dedicated professional with a passion for education and the ability to inspire and lead in the Art department.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Develop and implement an engaging and challenging curriculum that caters to all learners.
  • Lead and manage the Art department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning are maintained.
  • Coach and mentor colleagues to achieve individual and collective targets.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of teaching and learning within the Art department.
  • Contribute to the school’s strategic planning and self-evaluation processes.
  • Foster an environment that encourages creative expression and appreciation for the arts.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status.
  • Ability to teach Art to GCSE standard.
  • Proven track record of improving standards and raising pupil outcomes.
  • Experience in coaching and motivating colleagues.
  • Demonstrated sustained delivery of outstanding attainment and achievement.
  • Innovative and creative approach to engaging, enthusing, and progressing learners.
