Holidays: are 20 + 8 days a year.

Salary: £32,500 p/a - depending on experience.

Staffing Connect is seeking two experienced Export Clerks. The business is a live animal/pet shipping agent. Must be physically fit as carrying the cats and sometimes dogs are required. The job is not doing the typical export clerk role but instead quoting clients in relation to their pet’s worldwide relocation. Offering them guidance, and handholding them through the whole process until the pet departs the country.

The office is fun and jovial they want you to enjoy your job and day the best is you get fed by the company every Friday. Parking, office canteen, and a few other benefits to be discussed on the telephone.

  • You will need a current driving license. Some van driving might be required to/from the airport/local vets/kennels.
  • At least 1 year of airfreight export experience.
  • Must have full CAA security clearance (as they are a regulated agent) if you haven’t then this can be arranged.
  • Must not have any animal (pet) phobias/allergies as the pets are in our office daily.
  • Must be very computer literate and have good telephone manners.
  • Excellent customer service.
  • Must be able to speak English clearly and fluently.
  • Work well within a female-office team.
  • Contact clients and handhold them through the process from start to finish.
  • Providing trade compliance and operational support for export processes.
  • Ensuring correct paperwork, permits, and documentation for shipments and customers are in place.
  • Monitoring freight movements tracking shipments and keeping clients updated.
  • Liaising with customs agents, brokers, and insurance companies
  • Analysing and interpreting regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Creating shipping schedules and customs documents for shipping overseas
