About the company

Contechs are recruiting on behalf of their client a British multinational automobile manufacturer which produces luxury vehicles and sport utility vehicles. They are looking for a Test Engineer to join their expanding team on a 5 month rolling contract basis. The role will be based in Solihull.

Job Description

As a Facilities Planning Manager your main responsibilities are:

  • Thus, you will need to be proactive in your approach and develop relationships with a number of internal and external stakeholders to drive the end result, in line with the Clients' Creator's Code.
  • These projects will include all aspects of Health and Safety and as the Client is a keen promoter of Zero harm, safety will be top on the list.
  • This role is a key position in the delivery of GME's core works, and covers a wide spectrum of delivery, from Feasibility, Procurement, Manufacture, Delivery, installation, commissioning and handover.
  • This is a highly demanding role with green field opportunities providing opportunities for international travel and a sense of autonomy and control over your work.

Qualifications / Skills needed

  • Our Client is seeking an experienced multiskilled and rounded Engineer.
  • Broad knowledge of logistic engineering concepts, systems, equipment and facilities used and on the market.
  • Knowledge and experience of supporting the development and costing of proposals, right through to delivery and final project completion
  • Previous experience and strong background of engineering delivery works from conception through to delivery and completion is essential.
  • Experience in contractor management and site installations, to deliver benchmark Site Safety performance.
  • Clear understanding of site safety, Safety legislation (CDM 2015 Reg etc) and that of contractor management.
