Management Accountant - South Tyneside An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced management accountant to join our growing SME client based in South Tyneside. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will lead a small transactional finance team and play a vital role in providing financial insights to support business decision making. Key Responsibilities: - Manage the day-to-day activities of the transactional accounts team, ensuring accurate and timely processing of transactions
- Prepare monthly management accounts, reporting key financial metrics and variance analysis
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and controls
- Support the annual budgeting and forecasting cycles
- Analyse financial data and provide recommendations to improve profitability
- Liaise with external auditors during interim and year-end audits
- Continuously review and improve finance processes and controls
Requirements: - Qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) with strong technical knowledge
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a management accounting role
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Advanced Excel skills and ERP system experience
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills
- A proactive approach with meticulous attention to detail
Our client will offer a competitive remuneration package of circa £45,000 plus benefits including hybrid working options
