YOUR ROLE
The transport supervisor plays a pivotal role in the smooth functioning of logistics operations, overseeing the transportation of goods from point of origin to destination. With a keen eye for detail and strong organisational skills, transport supervisor will deal with any operational challenges that arise, striving for efficiency and customer satisfaction.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and motivate a team providing guidance, training and support as needed
- Coordinate the day to day transportation activities to ensure optimal efficiency and resource utilisation
- Ensure all transportation operations comply with safety standards, company policies minimising risks and liabilities
- Maintain strong relationships with clients and resolving any issues or concerns in a timely manner
- Track key performance indicators and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity
- Communicate relevant information, updates and instructions clearly and effectively
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES
- Experience in a supervisory or managerial role within a transportation environment
- Knowledge of transportation regulations, and safety standards
- Strong Leadership skills with ability to motivate a team
- Excellent organisational, problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
