Our client is seeking a Group Financial Accountant to join its expanding Group Finance team in Poole, with a salary of £45-£55k. The role involves internal audits of global subsidiaries, maintaining Group accounting policies, and supporting year-end audits, requiring a qualified accountant with UK GAAP knowledge, audit experience, and willingness to travel.

Description

The key responsibilities of the Group Financial Accountant role include conducting internal audits and reviews of global subsidiaries to ensure compliance with Group policies and consistent financial reporting, providing recommendations for improvements, and summarising findings for the Board. Additionally, the role involves maintaining and updating Group accounting policies, assisting with year-end Group and UK audits, and potentially participating in projects or routine reporting with other finance teams such as Treasury or Tax.

Profile

The ideal candidate is a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP and audit experience. They should be a self-starter with proficient Microsoft Excel skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to build relationships and work collaboratively. They should also possess report writing skills.
