Junior Support Technician
We currently have a fantastic role for a Junior Support Technician for an advanced technology systems company based in Hedge End, Southampton.
The Junior Support Technician will beworking in both the workshop and officeandis a fantastic opportunity to learn and grow within the business and will involve the following:
Main Duties:
- Setting up of and maintenance of test equipment.
- Conducting test of finished product through specialised software and documenting the results.
- PAT/FAT testing of specialised equipment.
- Product assembly.
- Basic fault finding
- Carry out equipment repairs to component level.
- SMT soldering.
- Installation and configuration of Windows.
- Using Disk imaging software.
- Network configuration of static IP addresses
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment, documenting and escalating issues as and when necessary.
- Respond to relevant support tickets and workshop repair requests.
Required Skills & Experience:
The ideal Junior Support Technician will have a great attitude, keen to develop their skills and have a background within manufacturing / assembly. Any test, soldering, fault findingexperience and orIT software experience will be an advantage however training will be provided in the majority.
Salary:
27,000 - 30,000
Hours:
8.30- 17.00 Monday to Friday
