Banking & Finance Senior Lawyer Opportunity, Southampton - Legal 500 firm.

We have a new opportunity for a Banking & Finance Senior Associate Lawyer to join our client's team on the South Coast. This role offers a fantastic chance for an aspiring partner to consolidate their practise experience alongside a highly knowledgeable Banking and Finance team.

Our client is able to offer a broad scope of work, advising on mid-market secured lending transactions, including acquisition and leveraged debt, real estate finance, and asset financing. They act for a wide variety of lenders, including clearing banks, investment and merchant banks, mezzanine and non-institutional funders, as well as borrowers. The team often handles transactions with an international element, working closely with other teams within the organisation and foreign counsel.

The role is based in Southampton, with occasional travel to other offices. It presents exciting opportunities for an ambitious and career-minded individual with aspirations to become a Partner in the next few years.

Skills / Experience Required:

  • 5+ years PQE gained within a Banking and Finance Practise, either in private practise or in-house.
  • Strong technical and project management skills.
  • A good breadth of experience spanning general Secured Lending work.
  • An appetite and aptitude for Business Development.
  • Confident and personable.
  • A team player.
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Commercial awareness and a straightforward approach.
  • Committed to working in and fostering a diverse and inclusive team.
  • Demonstrates commitment and loyalty to colleagues, clients, and communities.
  • Able to demonstrate continuous development and diversity in thinking.
  • Understands and complies with AML and Information Security responsibilities commensurate with this advertised role.
