A well-regarded and forward-thinking regional law firm is seeking a Non-Contentious Construction Solicitor (NQ-5 PQE) to join its expanding Real Estate team based in Southampton. This is an excellent opportunity to join a specialist construction practice working on complex, high-value matters across the UK for a wide range of commercial, institutional and private clients.
The Role
You will play a key part in advising clients on the full spectrum of non-contentious construction matters, including:* Drafting and negotiating building contracts * Preparing consultant appointments, collateral warranties, guarantees and associated documentation* Advising on development agreements and the construction elements of real estate and corporate transactions* Supporting real estate finance matters with tailored construction input* Collaborating on national and regional infrastructure and development projects across multiple sectors* Providing pragmatic, commercially minded advice throughout a project's lifecycle
The Team
You'll become part of a dedicated Construction team within a highly regarded Commercial Real Estate practice. The team is involved in a broad spectrum of major construction projects, spanning commercial, residential, industrial, charitable, and infrastructure sectors. They also provide specialist support on wider real estate, finance, and corporate transactions.
Based in the Southampton office, you will work closely with experienced Partners locally, while also collaborating with Partners in the firm's City of London office. This is a fantastic opportunity to help drive the growth of a dynamic and ambitious team and contribute to shaping its long-term direction.
About You
- Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with 0-5 years' PQE in non-contentious construction* Strong drafting and negotiation skills with a good grasp of construction law and standard industry contracts* Experience acting for a variety of stakeholders including developers, contractors, funders and consultants* Ability to manage client relationships and work independently when required* Collaborative, commercially minded and keen to grow your expertise within a highly respected team
