Your Company:An opportunity for a Van Technician has become available within an automotive business located in the Southampton area. As a leader within the market, this business provides a range of services to its business and individual customers, relating to vehicle sales and vehicle repairs and maintenance. This role will be vital in delivering these services to their customers, and the position holder will be in a hands-on role, working on a range of vehicles, particularly vans, to do repair and maintenance work.Your Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Conducting vehicle maintenance and repairs, mostly on VWCV vehicles, ensuring that any issues that are identified are communicated and escalated to the workshop controller.
  • Completing additional repair work when instructed to do so.
  • Providing documentation for repair work undertaken ensuring this is in line with the manufacturer’s guidelines.
  • Using specific manufacturers diagnostic equipment to carry out testing, repair and diagnostics as well as can be done and to the highest standard.
  • Maintaining health and safety rules at all times, following company policy.
  • Accurately label warranty material and ensure it is returned to the warranty depot.
  • Making sure all vehicles are compliant with safety standards in preparation for returning them to the customer, ensuring that work is documented and that any identified faults and repairs are marked on job cards. 
What you will need to Apply:The ideal candidate for this role will possess extensive experience working as a vehicle technician, preferable with VW Group vehicles in particular, although this isn’t essential, and any manufacturer experience is valid. Any VAG main dealer experience would be beneficial too.
