Operating within a high-performing and people-focused HR team, this global business is committed to developing its employees and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The Talent and Development Manager role is a newly created position and offers the opportunity to shape and drive the learning and talent development strategy across the UK operation.
What will the Talent and Development Manager role involve?
- As the Talent and Development Manager, you will design, implement and lead learning and development initiatives aligned with global and local strategies.
- Drive the development and delivery of training programmes, including onboarding, compliance, professional development and leadership pathways.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to conduct training needs analysis and develop a robust talent pipeline.
- Manage the full learning lifecycle, from planning and budgeting through to execution and post-training evaluation.
- Support succession planning and performance review processes to identify high-potential talent.
- Monitor L&D metrics and report on effectiveness and ROI of training initiatives.
- Liaise with global HR teams to align with international frameworks while tailoring to UK business needs.
- Champion a learning culture across the business, continuously seeking opportunities to enhance capability and employee engagement.
Suitable Candidate for the Talent and Development Manager vacancy:
- Proven experience in a learning and development or talent management role within a large or international business.
- Strong background in designing and delivering training strategies and working with senior stakeholders.
- CIPD qualified (or equivalent L&D qualification) with up-to-date knowledge of learning theories, digital learning solutions, and talent development frameworks.
- Exceptional interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to engage teams across departments and geographies.
- Confident analysing data and presenting insights to drive decisions and measure impact.
- A proactive and creative mindset, comfortable working both strategically and operationally.
