An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced pizza chef to join the team at our beautiful coastal hotel in Thorpe Bay, Essex. This thriving hotel is proudly located on Thorpe Esplanade with panoramic views of the Estuary in each of our dining rooms.
Roslin Beach Hotel is an AA 4 Silver Star hotel with a multi award-winning Two AA Rosette Restaurant that is recognised across the country. The Roslin Restaurant is at the heart of our boutique-inspired hotel with our skilful team combining familiar favourites with the freshest seasonal ingredients.
About the role:
We are looking for an experienced pizza chef who has knowledge and experience of Italian cuisine, its cooking techniques and culture. The ideal candidate will pride themselves on their pizza making skills, stay calm under pressure and thrive in a fast-paced environment. They will have a creative flair alongside exceptional organisational skills to ensure the very popular and newly designed terrace is in order.

What we would like from you:
- Considerable experience having worked in a pizzeria or pizza kitchen.
- Works well under pressure and encourages others to stay calm.
- Reporting to and clearly communicating with the Head Chef.
- Working effectively within the Kitchen team to ensure high level of service standards.
- Excellent knowledge of food hygiene standards, checking that all food is stored and used in rotation to eliminate wastage and adhere to the Health and Hygiene Laws.
- Following close down procedure at the end of shift to ensure safety of equipment and security of produce is maintained.
- Ideally NVQ Level 2/3 in Food production or other related culinary skills qualification.
