About the Role:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students at Key Stages 3 and 4, particularly those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing one-to-one and group support to students with SEND, ensuring they have access to the curriculum and are able to achieve their full potential.
- Implementing effective behaviour management strategies to promote a positive learning environment.
- Demonstrating excellent use of initiative in supporting the individual needs of students.
- Collaborating with teachers, SENCo, and other professionals to create personalised learning plans for students.
- Creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and respected.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with students with SEND is essential.
- A good sense of humour and the ability to engage and motivate students.
- Strong behaviour management skills.
- Excellent use of initiative in adapting support strategies to meet the needs of individual students.
- A supportive and understanding approach to working with students from diverse backgrounds and with varying learning styles.
