Our Family Department continues to flourish, supported by a robust business development strategy and an outstanding reputation. Our client are looking for a dedicated individual to contribute to this success.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be a qualified solicitor, ideally with 3+ years PQE, and possess varied, demonstrable experience in Private Family Law. You'll manage your own caseload of private clients, with a small proportion of legal aid cases, shared equitably across the team. You'll deliver proactive, practical legal advice while ensuring a timely and client-focused service.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage a diverse family law caseload

Conduct advocacy where appropriate

Deliver client-centric, strategic legal advice

Build lasting relationships with clients from varied backgrounds

Contribute to the continued growth and success of the Family Department

At least 3 years PQE (applications from those with equivalent experience also welcome)

Strong commitment to excellent client care

Effective communication with clients and colleagues at all levels

Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail

Capable of working under pressure and managing changing priorities

Collaborative and team-oriented, with the ability to work independently

Confidence in managing expectations and maintaining professional relationships
This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm, based at either our clients Portsmouth or Waterlooville office. Part-time applications will also be considered.
