Join a team who are passionate about ensuring they provide a holistic, creative, and bespoke curriculum tailored to meet the academic and social needs of all pupils.

You will be joining a specialist education provision that caters to young people with social, emotional, and mental health additional needs.

Working hours are Monday to Friday from 08:30 to 15:45, term-time only. This is a temporary position initially, although there is an opportunity to move onto a permanent contract with the school following a successful introductory period with Reed Education.

Main duties:• Preparing learning materials and adapting resources to meet children’s educational needs.• Engaging children in learning activities and caring for their physical, emotional, and social welfare.• Supervising pupils and ensuring their safety and ability to access learning activities and understand the information presented.• Aiding the execution of education plans suitable to each pupils’ learning objectives.• Contributing to the effective implementation of multi-agency approaches to supporting students.• Finding strengths of pupils and helping them develop these areas.• Following the school’s behaviour management policy effectively.

What we’re looking for:• Individuals with an interest in supporting our most vulnerable students, to ultimately create improved and positive outcomes.• Resilient, committed, and inspiring individuals – a good sense of humour is a bonus!• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – to build rapport with pupils, staff, parents/carers, and external agencies.• Willingness to continue learning on the job.• If you are not a qualified Teaching Assistant, this should not deter you from applying.
