An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Management Accountant to join a growing business with a genuine opportunity for career development, in an office based role based in St Ives, Cambridgeshire.
The client are looking for a full time, qualified or finalist ACCA or CIMA studier, reporting to the CFO, with a proven track record and experience working as a Management Accountant in a SME business. The company are part of a private equity backed group of businesses who are experiencing rapid growth.
Typical duties include:
- Post daily cash postings/bank reconciliation
- Maintain and update rolling 13 week cashflow forecast
- Produce monthly management accounts
- Routine journal postings (accruals, prepayments, depreciation etc...)
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis
- Reconcile Group intercompany accounts
- Support with budgetting and forecasting, preparation of quarterly VAT returns
- Support with year end processes
- Adhoc duties to support the team and the wider group team
Applications are welcomed from individuals with the following skills and experience:
- Qualified Accountant, or Finalist ACCA/CIMA
- Previous experience of a similar role is essential
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Supervisory or Management experience would be advantageous (as part of future development)
- Excellent organisation and IT skills are essential
- Must be resident in a commutable area and be eligible to work in the UK without requiring sponsorship
