Your new company
One of the UK's leading project development and construction group involved in project development and construction within the highways, water and utilities sector. The company is currently working on one of the most prestigious highway projects in the Cambridgeshire area, and the organisation is recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to start as soon as possible.
Your new role
As a senior quantity surveyor, your main responsibilities include:
- Keeping cost records and agreement of costs within the National Highway Site Representatives
- Undertaking management of allocated Control Accounts with site team, which include value draw and out-turn forecast/ spend profiling
- Assisting in the Utilisation of Site Commercial and Document Systems (Oracle, Forecasting Tool, CEMAR, Projectwise)
- Overseeing Management of Subcontractors
- Being responsible for the procurement of packages as the work proceeds
What you'll need to succeed
- A Degree or Equivalent in Quantity Surveying
- Previous Highways experience
- Experience with NEC forms of contract
- Good communication Skills - written and verbal
- Experience of managing subcontractors
- Good knowledge of contract/ commercial law
- Good knowledge of commercial digital systems
- MRICS or CICES or working toward it
